Who wants to run for public office with this kind of lawfare going on? It is surreal.
Despite his personality flaws, the swarms of bees that have attacked him since he came down the escalator have been remarkable. He's a target because he has a personal magnetism - maybe like Teddy Roosevent. A magnificently independent SOB.
Politics can be a rough game. Revenge politics and about 2024. DeSantis is next.
Oh yeah, and Trump is a Russian spy.

The assaults on Donald Trump began when he came down the escalator. Before that he was a popular celebrity. It's because he was running as a Republican. Similar things happened with Nixon, Reagan, Bush. Demonized, and literally hunted. Same thing will happen to any nominee.
Nancy Pelosi said yesterday: "Now Donald Trump has the chance to prove his innocence."

“Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right.

“You have a culture here in which the most aggressive and hysterical factions of activists can have veto power over everything, and that’s gonna stop, and we have to model that we have the courage to set a new standard. And so, I appreciate it, but we’re going to go forward as planned,” he said.

Spectator:
Fortunately, there is a straightforward way to stop this mischief, at least in law schools, and to underscore the importance of free speech on campus. If students are found to have disrupted a speaker (after a fair hearing, in which they can defend themselves), they should face a simple penalty: disclosure.

He offers a summary of his career. One quote:
My most widely-read book, The Three Languages of Politics, mentions McRaney, as well as Haidt. It gives a simple model of conservatism, progressivism, and libertarianism. One emphasizes civilization vs. barbarism, the second emphasizes oppressed vs. oppressors, and the third emphasizes liberty vs. state coercion. These are not grand political philosophies, but they indicate the type of language that each tribe is drawn to. These languages serve as war whoops to denounce other tribes.
