Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

"NPR vs. Masculinity"
There is a war on men. Not all men, certainly not woke soy-boy liberal men. Not most POC men, but on white men for sure. With war looming with Russia or China or maybe both, my advice to men is don't take all the glory for yourself and join the military and go die for your country. Give the POC men and women a chance to get the medals and glory of dying horribly in some foreign shithole. As a plus this will save the government a lot of money because they won't have to hire DEI counselors to retrain you to be a girly man who licks the boots of POCs. This is the military's great experiment so take a step back and let the women prove they can fight as good as men and let the POC's garner all the glory and stay home and take care of your family. Well, come on all of you, POC’s LGHBTQ people of PRIDE,
Uncle Sam needs your help again. Ze’s got zimself in a terrible jam Way North yonder in Ukraine 🇺🇦 So put down your pride flags and pick up a gun, We're gonna have a whole lotta fun. And it's one, two, three, What are we fighting for The latest thing, man, Next stop is Ukraine 🇺🇦 ; And it's five, six, seven, Join Equity and Inclusion, Well there ain't no time to wonder why, Whoopee! we're all gonna die. Do you think Uncle Sugar would let all us white men protest in the streets. Shout No War. Call the Equity and Inclusion LGBTQ Pride folks, baby kills and spit in their faces? Yeah, I don’t thinks so either. My response from now to anything NPR asserts is "There's limited evidence of that."
Follow the money.
QUOTE: Syria analyst Jennifer Cafarella of the Institute for the Study of War noted the importance of continuing the US military occupation. She observed that “Whether Washington chooses to admit it or not, the US now has direct influence over the vast majority of Syria’s most productive oil fields,” and that the territorial gains of the SDF “are Syrian national treasures that when added up amount to brute geopolitical power for the US.” https://thecradle.co/article-view/21957 We are facing war with China and Russia. Think about the sweet irony that if Russia nukes us it is likely that the nuclear bombs killing us by the millions will have been made from the very uranium that Hillary Clinton sold to Russia. Why didn't Hillary ever face charges for that treason? She did it for personal gain, the Clintons are multi-millionaires because of their corruption and they live in NY. Where is DA Bragg when you need him?
Masculinity. Pffft. The new game of redefining terms/paradigms to fit your idealized and preposterous version of something. Like men calling themselves women, and democrats calling themselves liberal.
And the Americans in Syria thing: using the Islamic State threat as proxy for keeping tabs on Iran, not forgetting Russia is in the area, seems like a recipe for disaster, or a wish for one. The swamp will never get drained; too many people have too good of a life of power and money from bathing in it and will do whatever’s needed to maintain it. It’s no different than any other cartel. Marriage isn't hard work?
Obviously the writer never met either of my ex-wives. I retired from both of them. Sorry you had two rather nasty experiences. However, as we're rising 55 years married, I can attest a successful marriage takes work on both sides. But - at this end of our lives, the effort was well worth it.
BWT, for what it's worth, I had a prof who had gone through two wives. My comment was that losing one wife was a problem; losing a second meant maybe said prof who had the problem. re "Trump didn't drain the swamp, he merely annoyed it" looks unfortunately true.
It will take a concerted effort by both the Senate/House and the President to bring the Deep State to heel. Entire departments need to be cut, funding needs to be cut in others and personnel have to be held accountable. So far I have seen zero inclination for any of those policies to be pursued. As long as that is the case, things will only get worse. "It will take a concerted effort by both the Senate/House and the President to bring the Deep State to heel."
I'd laugh at you, but it's so sad. A majority of the Senate/House are part of the Deep State, paid by it and hate the very idea of hindering it in any way. But let me help: "It will take a concerted and violent effort by the People to bring all of the corrupt Senate, House, President and Deep State to heel." Many tyrants an patriots will and must die so The Tree can be refreshed. A little history: President Donald Trump requested $1.8 billion for a new FBI building. That was a perfect example of the Stockholm Syndrome if you ask me.
NPR and masculinity ... that takes care of my required yearly testosterone free dose of feminine utopiates. Free for another 24/7/365 stretch.
Were there actually states that ever thought that they could control the growing and sales of the pot culture. They couldn't even control tobacco sales on reservations. But they whine a lot Trump only annoyed the swamp. But he gave the best tour of what is behind the curtain when most didn't even know there was a curtain. The swamp hates attention and now that can't get free of it. . Mass protests in France:
I have no doubt that some "French" people (that means born in France of parents who were born in France) are objecting to the changes, maybe even rioting. But it seems obvious that the usual suspects (20 something men born in Africa) are the ones burning cars, buildings and churches. It is kinda like Antifa and BLM showing up at a demonstration of Trump supporters in DC one day in January to cause destruction and chaos to smear Trump's supporters. This is what our world has become. It will get worse here and everywhere thanks to the Democrat sanctioned invasion at our borders. Soon enough this will spill into a full scale civil war. Not just here but in France, England and Sweden too. The question is will they wait too long and it becomes unwinnable? I remember landing at Orly one day, on my way to work in Africa, and a strike commenced just as we stopped at the gate, and got the jetway hooked up alongside. The workers were boiling out onto the taxiways outside the parked planes, and the terminal itself was complete pandemonium, I mean a madhouse. Don't know if it's the same now, but back then, when one group struck everybody else took the opportunity to strike as well, in solidarity. Didn't matter what their deal was. I got to my destination eventually, but my bags didn't make it until about 3 weeks later, almost when I was finishing up my hitch.
A little hard to be sympathetic, though. They're complaining that the retirement age is going to move up from 62? It's 67 for a lot of people in the US right now, if they were born 1960 or later! Unreal: Emergency Motion Claims FBI Didn't Disclose Informant Inside Proud Boys Defense Team
Critics of the harsh prosecutions in the January 6th debacle continue to be vindicated. Those who have said the whole thing was a setup keep getting proved right by our own Department of Justice. https://pjmedia.com/news-and-politics/megan-fox/2023/03/25/unreal-emergency-motion-claims-fbi-didnt-disclose-informant-inside-proud-boys-defense-team-n1681378 A debate on DEI:
https://globalextremism.org/ Here is a site dedicated to fighting global extremism. Oddly! No mention of Antifa or BLM only fictitious white supremacists. I'm sure that is an oversight and they will correct that soon. But this is the reality. Far left hate groups attacking anyone on the right and the media holds them up as mere activists combatting hate. And of course we are all supposed to go along with the silly fiction. Why is the US military in Syria? Because Barack Obama put US troops there to support his pivot away from Israel and Saudi Arabia to Iran. Ostensibly they are there to attrition ISIS, remember them? Actually they are there to keep Turkey and Israel from dominating regions of Syria, to support the Marxist elements of the Kurdish population, and to ensure that Iran can continue to control Syria and Lebanon while they develop their nuclear weapons.
Trump was too weak and foolish to recognize the ongoing Obama operations in the State Department and intelligence community, and now the Biden administration is more openly siding against Turkey, for their PKK Kurdish opponents, against Saudi Arabia, and meddling openly in Israel while doing nothing to deter Iran. Obama and his holdovers are pulling the strings here on an operational basis, while Biden is basically in agreement in a general sense without having the capability to execute the plans without their assistance. Trump tried Tillerson and then Pompeo at State. Tillerson made only a small dent in the empire building State dept. He managed to "retire" a few long timers but not near enough. Pompeo is a born bureaucrat that is happy to go along to get along. What is needed is to rid the department of ALL the empire builders that have accumulated since Hillary was at the department. Mass firings to include the janitors.
Turkey has been turning away from Europe for some time and really does not fit into Europe. It has been intent on resurrecting and being the leader of a unified Islamic state. The best case for dealing with the M.E. moslem states is to leave them to fight each other over control. The best outcome for the US is pull our troops and let them at each other. China will likely intrude but let them buy whatever outcome they wish to try. Annoying a tyrant is better than letting the tyrant proceed unchallenged. And practice makes for better annoyances. Think of it as athletic training program - it will make you stronger.
Regarding remote work: At the beginning of the COVID Panic-demic, I told my daughter and S.I.L. to enjoy it while it lasts, because it will definitely end. Only exceptionally-motivated people can be managed completely remotely (and both of them are, to their credit), but most people cannot manage the freedom-from-supervision well. When we experimented a decade ago with 'Work From Home Day' it quickly became obvious that it was more like, 'Work From the Beach Day'. It's impossible to manage the quality of deliverables if you're not looking at them, daily, and watching their progress. And you can tell a lot about people by observing their behaviors, personally, in person - in the office. It's a very important way of being able to get to the bottom of things as a manager. Corporate America has been coasting on pre-pandemic training and routine, but things tend to fly apart. My S.I.L. is back with a minimum 2 days in the office per week, and my daughter is typically pulling 3 now, sometimes 4 - and they've been on a 4-day workweek for a while. The trend is back to 5 days, and I think eventually they will settle on 4 day, 40 hour work weeks. Quite a few companies are working 9-80 schedules now, i.e. every-other Friday off. The Automation of Genocide’ — How the Nazis Used IBM Technology to Bring About the Holocaust
QUOTE: “Who was the snitch? Who gave up the Frank family?” Betrayal on this level surely happened, and, in the case of the Frank family, it may well have been “neighbor informing on neighbor.” In the main, however, it was the Nazis’ abuse of technology that made the Holocaust so frighteningly efficient. Punch-card systems were the technology behind the Holocaust, the electro-mechanical machines that Hitler’s Third Reich needed to accomplish what had never been done before: the automation of genocide. These punch cards were created from personal information that millions of Jewish “heads of household” provided voluntarily in censuses conducted by the Third Reich in the 1930s. In 21st Century parlance, they liked it. . . . That census required all respondents to state not only if they were of the Jewish faith, but also whether they had a Jewish grandparent. The idea was to cast the net wide enough so as to identify even non-practicing Jews. The results were processed using IBM technology at the rate of 25,000 punch cards per minute. It produced chilling results. People identified in the 1938 census as having a Jewish grandparent later ended up in concentration camps. Some of them didn’t even know they were Jewish – a cousin, an uncle or an aunt may have unwittingly linked their relatives to a Jewish grandparent who was completely unknown to other members of the extended family. But the Nazis could connect the dots. It was in the census data they’d collected and processed with state-of-the-art IBM technology. https://militaryhistorynow.com/2023/03/15/the-automation-of-genocide-how-the-nazis-used-ibm-technology-to-bring-about-the-holocaust/ Joe Biden was installed to screw up the country and diminish our national defense but to do it in a way that we would dismiss as incompetence and not intentional. But he is doing it intentionally, he is a sock puppet and we don't know whose hand is behind his actions. his policies are destroying the military's effectiveness and giving away all their arms to Ukraine. He has drained our "emergency" petroleum reserve while simultaneously making us dependent upon foreign source for oil. He is destroying our economy and importing replacement workers and voters to destroy jobs for Americans. He has screwed up so badly that our enemies and allies publicly deride and laugh at him. Why? This is no accident, we are being set up for a fall. He was purchased by our enemies for mere millions and is destroying us as they demanded. Don't see it yet? You will.
Italy bans insect flour from its pasta despite the eco buzz
The growing use in cooking of flour made from crickets, locusts and insect larvae has met fierce opposition in Italy, where the government is to ban its use in pizza and pasta and segregate it on supermarket shelves. In a sign of fear that insects might be associated with Italian cuisine, three government ministers called a press conference in Rome to announce four decrees aimed at a crackdown. “It’s fundamental that these flours are not confused with food made in Italy,” Francesco Lollobrigida, the agriculture minister, said. https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/italy-bans-insect-flour-from-its-pasta-despite-the-eco-buzz-jmvv3fbt7 The real hate group in the world today https://www.spectator.co.uk/article/the-shameful-persecution-of-posie-parker-in-new-zealand/
The evidence is undisputable that those who took the covid vaccine are now more susceptible to get the virus than those who were not vaccinated. Worse the evidence also shows that big pharma and government has know this for over a year now and still insist that citizens get vaccinated.
We have reached a strange point in our politics where most of the Babylon Bee stories have over time been shown to be true. My fear is what we don't know. What is our government doing behind the curtains. The revelations are worse everyday. What's next.
