Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

Dean Steinbach has no business being associated with a university much less being a dean at a university.
The left is hell bent on fomenting hate. A good example is HR 61. Why limit "hate crimes" to whites? Most hate crimes are committed by blacks! But they need to divide and conquer and racism and hate is their petard. So I say lets hoist them on it.
San Francisco wants reparations and I think they should get it good and hard. They should pay it. San Francisco should raise property taxes and sales taxes until the have the billions to pay off the poor downtrodden former slaves. In fact, just to be fair, only the Democrats (Because they voted these crazies into office) should pay.
And, of course, the Democrats were the pro-slavery party before and during the Civil War, and were all about racial segregation after. The Republican party was anti-slavery. Naturally, only Democrats should pay reparations.
Actually, the Federal Government owes reparations to all former slave owners and their descendants under the 5th amendment "takings" clause.
But even dare suggest that and see what happens! Mark Matis: Actually, the Federal Government owes reparations to all former slave owners and their descendants under the 5th amendment "takings" clause.
The 13th Amendment supersedes the 5th Amendment. When you meet A. Peskin; the first thing he tells you: he is smarter than you. Shorter too, but that's obvious. He has never made significant economic contribution always riding on the efforts of lawyer wife. But if he could get back to his neighborhood preservation programs, I would give him some money.
When Nature or the other scientific journals wade into ideological debates, science gets left behind. And no lesson was learned from this unforced error.
Re; Hamasaki
I voted against him, but the choice was NOT at all obvious since his candidate statement did not reveal he was in favor of normalizing crime. It may have been some of his endorsers which gave away his tendencies, certainly nothing in the statement. "A white substance was found in the mailroom of a New York City building. The building houses an office that District Attorney Alvin Bragg sometimes uses. The powder was identified as coming from a letter that was addressed to “Alvin”. Inside the envelope was a letter containing the typewritten message, “Alvin: I am going to kill you,” with 13 exclamation points."
Just in time! How convenient. I'm sure it's real. Jussie Smollett unavailable for comment. University removes statement compelling faculty speech ... racial grooming at its best. And then everyone gets an A in class even if they can't read the statement.
COVID-19 damages immune response for some: ‘A big deal’

QUOTE: A key piece of evidence that prosecutors claimed was a road map for the “attack” on the Capitol wasn’t produced by any Proud Boy but by a former intelligence asset who himself sent the plan to Tarrio through a third party. . . . prosecutors and Judge Timothy Kelly have tried their best to prevent the public from learning the full scope of the FBI’s involvement. The docket is littered with sealed hearings and filings; prosecutors presented to the defense team heavily redacted reports related to FBI informants just before the trial began. “Everything has been done under cover,” one defense attorney recently complained in court. https://www.zerohedge.com/political/julie-kelly-informants-everywhere And no investigation released of the two women killed on Jan 6. And no interest in finding the pipe bomber. There are enough cameras in DC to track the bomber for miles. Was the bomber the backup plan to que the "emergency" declaration?
Prosecutor Admits DC Police Officers Acted as Provocateurs at US Capitol on Jan. 6

This was a good read. It confirms what we already know. Dean Steinbach still thinks she did nothing wrong
Dean dixit: QUOTE: I stepped up to the podium to deploy the de-escalation techniques in which I have been trained.. I am reminded of the MAGA-cap wearing high school students who went to a rally in DC (anti-abortion?) and got hassled by a Native American, an event that went viral. Some media outlets paid out some money for having misrepresented the MAGA-cap wearing high school student[s]. A UT-Austin professor commented on the MAGA-cap wearing students, calling them "larvae." On her website she stated that she was a specialist in conflict resolution. Apparently smearing your political opponents constitutes conflict resolution or a de-escalation technique. |
