A quote from his piece: Presuppositionalism’s key insight is that you cannot convince people simply by giving evidence that supports your religion. Their false religion is an entire worldview, i.e., a comprehensive system of thought that has something to say about all aspects of reality. Therefore, those with a false worldview will not draw the correct conclusions from the evidence, and will often misinterpret the evidence itself. What is needed is a direct attack on their worldview, which can be done by showing them that their basic presuppositions cannot account for the facts of reality. And since reality has the characteristics that it does, it follows that their worldview must be false. And you have to attack them at what they believe to be their strong point, because being forced to surrender on a peripheral point will not shake them. Furthermore, you often have to press people to declare what they believe. This is especially important when discussing “religion and politics,” because non-Christians and liberals generally have only a vague idea of their own fundamental beliefs. You have to get them to clarify their position before you can really engage them intellectually.

 I hope our readers had a fine Thanksgiving, with people they care about. My theory about the cooking part - it's the whole deal. Eating isn't special. What is special is having everybody banging around the kitchen together, all day, with no-where to go and nothing else to do. That's a good thing, and very rare. Makes it better than Christmas, I think, as a family time. Christmas shopping? It's for the birds, unless you have little kids or a wife who expects a trinket for putting up with your flaws. Make 'em something simple from the heart, like a Mincemeat Pie or a Dylan bootleg mix.

They will use any means necessary – political, legal, psychological – to make sure the color of their skin always remains front and center, and at the same time, castigate people who can’t see past it.

In fact, people don't even make much of skin color, ethnicity, or religion any more (except for colleges, who keep down their Asian numbers, and try to raise their black numbers - they seem to think color is important for some reason, sort of like kids counting their Crayolas.)

The women were handlers of several terror cells in the areas of Jerusalem and Judea. Among other activities, they were involved in the transferring of funds from Syria to be used for the families of suicide terrorists, and for the funding of terror attacks. One of the arrested women also oversaw the building of an explosives laboratory. The less capable women have been relegated to the position of acting as human shields for terrorists - but hey, it’s a job.

Then a Mosque reserved for followers of al-Zawahiri. By the time Hamid left the movement, its members were intimidating other students who were unsympathetic. He is now 45 years old, and has had many years to reflect on why he was willing to die and kill for his religion. "The first thing you have to understand is that it has nothing, absolutely nothing, to do with poverty or lack of education," he says. "I was from a middle-class family and my parents were not religious. Hardly anyone in the movement at university came from a background that was different from mine.
