We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
I visited the San Diego Zoo not too long ago. We took the tram tour around the park. There were at least 4 or 5 instances of injecting green 'wisdom' into the tour guides speil. It was ridiculous.
My favorite was he said that recycling a plastic bottle will save gorillas in Africa. I had no idea what he meant by that. He said the same about recycling tech products like phones. Not sure what any of this had to do with the zoo.
I'm more than happy to not donate to museums that are run by radical environmentalists.
Heck, I'm more than happy to have a list of those museums so I can avoid them and not give them my money for tickets...
Yes. We call it Projection in my biz. Once you have noticed this it will become obvious in other places, and you will ask yourself "How on earth did I miss this before?" With any luck, we have alerted another hundred or so to what is happening.

It feels that way because it is that way. You can't go to the restroom without making a political statement.
