We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
the lawnful of docs mostly had that ''look'' --the glazed eye, set mouth, anxiety-locked neck and shoulder, that even without the shambling secondary signs (Lennon specs, freedom hair, unsynch'd face and body language, 'it takes a worried brow' furrowings) an observer knows that these guys are so squirrely it's a wonder they managed that outdoor photo-op without climbing the trees looking for nuts.
The thing that gets me about the docs is how they could lower themselves to look such fools. I mean come on, white coats? Even given what you say Buddy... do they have no idea how ridiculous they look. Not to mention what a farcical idea from the Obama handlers.
buddy and Luther ... I'm tempted to term this fake endorsement meeting as coming from the 'I'm-not-a-doctor-but-I play-one-on-TV' ads for medications we used to see on TV in the 1960s. Any real doctor who lent himself/herself to this charade should be ashamed. It's one more proof of this Administration's tin ear as far as the intelligence of the general public is concerned.
Should we consider that some/most of these folks were out-of-work actors hired for the show? I wouldn't put anything past Rahm Emanuel.
right --if the White House PR whizzers had made them wear stethoscopes around their necks ans those mirror headbands, would we have been surprised? They could've scattered some gurneys around the Rose Garden too --why not --gotta make sure us drooling mud idiots get the POINT!
"It's one more proof of this Administration's tin ear as far as the intelligence of the general public is concerned."
I wouldn't stop there, Marianne. I'd include the Democrats in the Senate, the House, and the top leadership of the Democratic Party. And more recently about half the Republicans as well. Our political class have had things their own way for far too long. Time to shake them up and clean house.
