We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Megan McA takes on Ezra Klein. America generates 90% of the new medicines for the world. There must be a reason for that. The reason is the mind-boggling creativity and inventiveness of free-market capitalism.
Arguing with Ezra Klein looks to be similar to arguing with a particularly clever egg custard. It's nice looking and warm enough. It's delightful in small doses. It's a wonderful post-dinner companion. But it doesn't appear to be particularly knowledgeable about anything, though you have to admire its ability to take on the shape of whatever thing was most recent object to make an impression on it.
