We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
No we are not: we were warned; those who refused to see were not blindsided by a Black Swan; they are responsible for their own destruction. There are many unforeseen events in one's life; yet wisdom and sound principles are eyes into the future.
1. Foolishness has disastrous consequences.
2. There is good and evil.
3. There is sin and evil consequences.
4. Calling Good evil and Evil good leads to destruction.
5. Promoting policies that are contrary to reality will lead to disaster.
6. God exists; declaring otherwise leads to intellectual and moral depravity: Romans, Chpt One.
7. God does judge the nations in time.
njartist, you're hitting the nail right on the head. I would add one more: Men/women in positions of power should take responsibility for their actions because all actions have consequences. I don't see too many people today that has the balls to take responsibility for the mess we are in. Or at least tell us the truth as to what is really going on. Take responsibility, tell us the truth and we can fix the problem. If not, the solutions that we have will be like throwing darts at a dart board in the dark.
