We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Well it difficult to argue with the unalloyed truth.

I wonder if the Mosque being built in Boston, with US Taxpayer money will be anything like the one proposed in London?

And how did governments, I mean your money and my money, get into that project?..I thought the church/state thing was fairly well settled.

Remember folks this is a long war. A war that will certainly outlive those of us reading and writing on this site.

Islam and muslims MUST be killed by the hundreds of millions to stop their aggression, for it is written in their ideology to kill all infidels.

Please don't reflexively recoil in horror at the call for a war that kills hundreds of millions for they are certainly planning that for us....right now. Imagine if they do get hydrogen bombs and ICBM's? Think they won't use them on NYC,LA,Chicago? Dream on.

Pat Condel gives it to the Islamic extremists but understand, he rips on all religions equally; he says the same types of things about Christians, too. His views on Israel are thought by some to be controversial as well, though I can’t remember the particulars of his position. (I think he believes Israel should cede its land to the Palestinians). He’s a dyed in the wool atheist and his loathing for religion is unbiased. That being said, I’d have him over to my place for dinner without hesitation. I’d love to talk with him about his perspective on religion. I think that would quite possibly be very entertaining.

Thanks a bunch for the insight. I knew nothing of this but nonetheless he nails Islam.....but if he's an atheist, then he has an entire universe in which to roam at will.

I agree I think he would make an interesting dinner guest.

Pat, me boyo, you're extremely entertaining, and right on the money. But you'd better watch where you step from now on [IEDs you know.] The Muslims have already demonstrated a singular lack of humor and tolerance for differing views.
