Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

The Soros tentacle in the EU

Not surprising, but... EU Referendum.

Who elected Soros to anything? He's just a megalomaniacal rich jerk with a lot of opinions - and a low-down schemer.

Furthermore, I do not really think of him as an American: I think of him as an "American of convenience" who keeps his money offshore and whose loyalties are international. And yes, them is fightin' words.

I would like to register a strong objection on behalf of the world's octopi. In fact, wrt Soros, I believe that similiar objections should be raised for the use of comparatives involving any species higher than the Labyrinthulomycete. Others may differ, of course, given the number of known parasitic species.
