Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Hanson gets a corrective lecture

Protein Wisdom begins with this quote from Hanson,

What is stranger is why Columbia university tried to invite a terrorist to speak who denies the first holocaust and advocates a second one. This is not a matter of free speech but of common decency and the most elemental common sense.

and uses it as a starting point to lecture the great Hanson on his ignorance of Correct Pomo Thought. The amusing piece is here, in which it is clearly explained why Summers is banned and Ahmadinejad is welcomed.

That protein guy is consistently, voluminously, savagely funnily deadly to the naked emporers--i don't know how he keeps it up at such a high level--but glad he do--

A brain crammed with the pathogens absorbed from a running sewer, would you say? Most likely an English department, though I don't rule out anthropology.
