We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Clever and amusing items. But in "A gerund and an infinitive walk into a bar, drinking to forget," the word "drinking" is serving as a participle, not a noun.
It would work if rendered "A gerund and an infinitive walk into a bar, then turn to drinking to forget."
BWT, the rabbit/typo joke in the earlier comment is also clever.
A girl walk into a bar, sits at the counter, and orders a beer. After she drinks it, she passes out cold. So the bartender looks at her says "Why not"? The next night, she comes in again, drinks a beer, and passes out cold. So the bartender and his friends look at her and say "Why not"? So the next night she comes in again, and orders a Coke. "Don't you want a beer?" the bartender asked. "No thanks." she said. "It makes my pussy hurt."
I'm not big on censorship, but I see your point. His comment had nothing to do with the post except that it is part of the cliched "walks into a bar" series of jokes. He had it ready to fire and could care less whether it was pertinent or appropriate. Some of us like a little more focus in our social interactions.
On the other hand, it is good to highlight that while not many of his comments are vulgar, many are anti-Semitic, conspirazoid, or historically inaccurate. So keeping this in place might serve the purpose of keeping intelligent folk from wasting their time reading anything else he has to say.
With that in mind, Trixie, if you don't agree I will not call you wrong.

AVI—I agree with Trixie. I’m not a fan of censorship either, but Ron’s comment is inappropriate by any standard.
