We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Not a fan. He makes plausible-sounding intellectual claims that turn out to be untrue when the data comes in.
I found him entertaining - he likely still is - and it's not like he gets everything wrong. But in his podcasts he kept veering into topics that I actually knew something about, and he is just wrong. Genetics of Africa and the Caribbean, just for openers.

Gladwell is an entertainer. He's a pseudo-intellectual who looks and finds something that is interesting, but untrue, about an issue or event and ignores the proven facts to create an entertaining narrative.
He's the ultimate bulls--t artist who could, at the drop of a hat, fabricate a 30 minute speech about any topic and convince you he's a genius....until you do your own research and find out he just sold you some snake oil.
