We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
I always wanted to draw/paint. When I was a child in grade school I could envision what I wanted to draw and I would try to put it on paper. Couldn't do it, still can't. My "art" looks like a preschooler did it with blunt crayons. When I was in the sixth grade another student was a natural artist and would actually solicit and get jobs from stores to paint their windows for the season. I mean the entire window with Christmas scenes or Halloween scenes. A sixth grader! It was then that I knew it was a gift and I didn't have that gift.
Wonderful on so many levels! Idol e to read those journals as well. I have as much artistic ability as a cat so have decided my grandchildren will do better. We spent 3 hours today drawing and writing stories. We took breaks to watch drawing videos on YT and then went back to the table to try agin. It was amazing how much better we all did after our online lessons! We even watched Bob Ross!
