Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Why is this?

Why is it that when anybody (including returning Americans) coming to the US through a port of entry requires papers, passports, etc or they are sent back immediately to whence they came?


But if you wade through the Rio Grande, they put you up and feed you.

Why is it that any time you want to board a plane or a bus, walk into a county courthouse, cash a check, see the doctor, go to a ball game, etc etc etc that you have to show a driver's license or picture ID for the purposes of national security, and maybe even go through a metal detector and -yet- we have people (who claim to be rational) demanding that we open our country's borders to a humongous never-ending horde of un-identifieds, that are mostly under-educated, mostly not-English-speaking, mostly not skilled, blank slate no-history individuals? Is that what you meant to ask? Yeah, me too. Seems like Risk Factors are like new science to some people. But when you point out these disparities, you get "BFYTW, racist".

I have for many years hunted deer and antelope in eastern Alberta, Canada right by the Montana border. Before 9-11 I and American hunters would walk back and forth across the border for short distances in kind of a hunting "hot pursuit" deal, plus to say hi to and bullshit with each other.

Nobody cared, not the game wardens, not the border patrol, nobody.

Today I'd fear getting hellfired by a drone.

The why is simple. Ted Kennedy and his fellow liberals engineered this back in the 60's with the intent of bringing in Democrat voters. That is why the Democrats today still support open borders and unchecked immigration.

dem-lefts do not care about illegal immigrants as people. dem-leftists use illegal immigration as a weapon of destruction for what ever is Right and Decent. dem-lefts are motivated/driven by hatred, anger and rebellion. Feelings are their moral guide (if it feels good do it). Destruction is their Goal.
