Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

FBI

Powerline: "For someone who grew up in the era that I did, it is hard to believe that the FBI has fallen so low. " You get the impression that today's FBI is filled with liars with political agendas. Not good. Was that always the case? I suppose it was with J Edgar Hoover...


We await the FBI's IG report, although we still wonder how the FBI can inspect itself.

It seems to me that J. Edgar had more integrity than the past few FBI directors.

And what's that quote about things not fundamentally conservative eventually get overrun by lefties?

Trump's big mistake was announcing after the election he would not have Bill and Hillary prosecuted for their crimes. That opened the door for the Democrats to launch their own attack campaign.

Hoover may have had his faults and quirks. But it seems, with all we've learned about the FBI's politicization over the last few years, that a rethinking is required about Hoover supposedly keeping files on Washington pols in an effort to "blackmail" them. I can't help but conclude that if Hoover did, in fact, keep files on politicians, is was mainly as an insurance policy to keep the FBI free from politics. The independence of the FBI during the Hoover years was the foundation for its reputation of impeccable integrity. Just a thought...

The FBI chemically attacked more civilians, women and children in Waco than this alleged attack in Syria. Janet Reno, Webb Hubble, chuck Schumer, Joe Biden, approved and defended the attack.

In ecology, there is the theory that accumulating stable toxins reach ever higher concentrations in the organisms as the food chain is ascended.

It starts out at the bottom as simple lying by the popos to the perps to elicit confessions. It progresses to testilying on the stand, and lying to We the People. Public choice theory. Judges and lawyers all know, they are in on the con.

By the time you get to the g-men, they are swimming in toxins, infused in every pore. Dirty cops all: politicians, bureaucrats, judges, lawyers, g-men.

There is no justice, only punishment. Criminals are their valued customers. If they don't have enough, they'll go make some more. Law-abiding We the People are the enemy and the prey.

FBI is latest good Bad-Example of the lack of high personal morals destroying an institution. All successful human efforts are based in high personal moral. Science must have moral scientists. Legal system must have moral judges, lawyers, and police. Water and sewer systems must have moral operators. The individual members of society must inculcate high morals in its young and expect it of other members or Society and all its institutions will become corrupt and fail. Without high moral values, Trust is broken, expectations are broken, the society is broken.
