We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Fear of Trump


At first, Trump was just a clown. I thought so. Then he morphed into a dangerous crazy person. Now that he has been elected (I still have trouble believing it, but he has a misunderestimated Talent Stack), we sense that a new fear is emerging - a fear that he may be successful in some ways. Simon notes that Trump's optimism about America is driving gloomy leftoids crazy.


Even the always-cautious Walter Mead sees reason for optimism.

I heartily agree with Bob re BB, Anita and Sophia. It would be hard to find a more beautiful, buxom triad than those women from the 1960s. Did JFK know these gals, in the biblical sense, of course. Let it grow...bigly. Kudos to Donald and may his efforts succeed. Time will tell, my friends, time will tell.

To consider Trump a "clown", exposes one as an extremely "low information" voter or perhaps in Barrister's case, a "busy" voter, who, while nursing his superficial biases, pays little or no attention to politics until the weekend before Election Day.

A concerned voter had all manner of resources (outside of the self-admittedly biased Anti-Trump Main Stream Media) to determine Trump's policy views. Or if one paid even the least amount of attention to the MSM, one could easily reach the conclusion that Trump is strongly anti-"politically correct"; a more than admirable trait in and of itself!
