It has been happening in the U.S. for years. Illegal aliens kill more people in this country every year than the number of our troops that died in the Gulf war. 2010 was a peak year with 5000 killed. This doesn't even count the rapes, sexual abuse robbery, assault and drug crimes. No one knows the exact numbers because the law enforcement system has been intentionally designed to prevent this from being captured. It is common while watching the news to 'interpret' what they say to figure out what they are hiding. If any American is involved in a serious crime the media will typically report their name and some personal information but if it is an illegal alien they typically report something like "a Boston resident was arrested today for ...". We also see this with black crime; it is common to hear "a group of teens created a disturbance at the mall last night..." and you are left to guess who the teens were. Sometimes they are looking for a robber, rapist or physical attacker and the media tells you to watch for him but does not mention race. They may give height and weight but not race. When it is a white man (or a white hispanic) they will of course say it but if it is a black criminal they have some unspoken rule to hide it. The media and the left cannot be trusted. Simple as that.

I grew up in the 40's and 50's near Boston. Every year in school the teacher would introduce a couple of kids to the class and tell us they were new to the country and came from Poland or Lithuania or some other country. The teacher would ask us to help them learn English and be comfortable in their new country. Within three months they spoke decent English and by the end of the school year they spoke as well as you and I. Their parents were carpenters and machinists or in some cases lacked marketable skills and were still able to find work. There was no welfare or food stamps, there was something called 'relief' but eve though my family and everyone I knew were poor I did not know anyone who 'took' relief. Everyone worked. Every immigrant except the very old learned English and almost everyone had respect for the law.

Most immigrants today are not your grandfathers immigrant experience. Today they come here for the welfare and other 'free stuff' many of them never become fluent in English. There are certainly exception. Most of the immigrants from India do well, are hard working and honest. Many Hispanic immigrants are honest and hard working 'but' still very willing to take advantage of the 'free stuff' and most prefer to speak their native language. Many/most of the immigrants from Russia are dishonest and again here for the free stuff (I'd bet dollars to doughnuts that 1/4 of the people on SSI for some phony disability are Russian immigrants). A recent article on line warned women in NY City to avoid cabs at night because all the drivers are from the ME or North Africa and they are committing rapes when they get a female passenger alone in the cab.

States with high levels of illegal immigrants have extremely high levels of illegal immigrants incarcerated. They have higher welfare rolls and more DWI and hit and run accidents.

The point is to look at immigrants over a 100 years period is to miss the trend and to remain ignorant of the facts.
