We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
the social justice babble isn't totally coherent, but the gist of the article reviewed (linked) is that the study group calls for music education to step outside traditional european classical music and incorporate "world music". jazz has long done this .. Getz/Joabim, Brubeck, etc. all seems harmless to me, the barrister should have read the original report.

Social justice babble is NEVER coherent; "totally" is not a social justice concept that applies to coherency. "The Fog Of War" seems to be what they want.
As I read it, there are more people pursuing this expecting to have a career in an orchestra, than there are orchestras and orchestra seats on stages to accommodate them.
