We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Every intermediate monkeyman turns out to be a hoax. I'm sure after the breathless headlines have turned into digital dust, the truth about this revolutionary game-changing find will be whispered in some footnote somewhere. Piltdown man, Lucy, "Neanderthal" man, Nebraska man, Java man, Orce man, Peking man, Turkana man, et al. None turned out to be legit. In this case, I'm sure that somebody wants funding and what better way than a new "discovery". We're always 30 years away from a breakthrough because that's how long my career in academia will last... suckers. See you on the beach.

No, they don't all turn out to be hoaxes. Some of the early ones did.
As an evangelical who sent my kids to Christian schools, I've spent a fair bit of time around 6-Day Creationists and have read and heard their arguments pretty thorougly. They're wrong, and it's not close.
Follow the funding. Aren't you tired of courtesan scientists making money off of people's ignorance and laziness. MF has figured out that global warming is a ridiculous hoax. Keep looking and you'll find many more ridiculous hoaxes too, like monkeyman intermediates. They don't exist. All those horse evolution posters showing intermediate horses are hoaxes too. The intermediates are invented by illustrators because they OUGHT TO BE THERE so they're just pencilled in.
This is interesting, but not yet important. Until it's dated (stories indicate that the remains have not yet been dated) we don't know where it's supposed to fit in. 30 thousand years or 3 million? Makes a diff.
