Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Oberlin College is a terrible place

So say the students: "(It's) a college campus laden with trauma and sexualized violence and full of victims/survivors..."


Sounds terrible. I thought it was a goofy artsy-fartsy, metrosexual, granola place for kids with tats, pink hair, and nose rings - not a dangerous hellhole.

damn, the stuff I've missed out on. when I was in college, the big deal was chicks, beer, beating UCLA and the Fighting Amish and dry gulching fratboy clones. nowadays they've got these epic battles over pollitical correctness.

If I thought any of this kollege BS this was of the least importance or consequence, I'd make a huge donation to the local YAF or college republicans and go to war.

Which shows you're a mental rapist!
Just thinking about women and calling them chicks (whether they can hear it or not) constitutes rape in "modern society", and anybody who's not a meek metrosexual is part of the problem, part of the "rape culture" that denigrates women, causing so many of them to suffer from constant sexual trauma because of the mental assault they have to constantly endure from all those men who look at them and think about them.

College seems to now be a place one goes to to experience rape culture and be offended by things that should be unnoticed by grown-up people, referred to usually as adults.

Look at the bright side: This insanity should give us a generation of really smart mechanics, plumbers, electricians and other tradesmen.

And this is without even considering the fact that a degree is quickly approaching being completely worthless.

So are these students some how indentured to the school? They pay to go there, they could pay to go to a less rapey school.

Or is this school like Sunnydale high and UC Sunnydale where the students and citizens never seemed to wise up and move away from the vampires.

My sister's best friend went to Antioch. The school is now defunct, killed off by moonbat leftism. Her brother went to Oberlin. Are we seeing a trend here?
