We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
The invisible universe? Isn't it pretty much invisible already to us of hoi polloi, or the hoi polloi, howeversome you like it? Is the sky falling? Has it already fallen? You are never going to travel the speed of light. Most of you will never travel the speed of sound. WTF does it matter is the uni is expanding or contracting or if the whole thing grinds to a halt? You, we, are just here for the ride. You are aboard a big rock in the cosmos trapped for your lifetime spinning in circles at 1000 mph while sailing around the sun once a year. You are out there, baby! You are composed of earthly elements and stardust and are somehow magically animated. We have been mystified and curious about how this whole thing works since the beginning and we are not really any closer to the real understanding as we were at any other time. While this is interesting, it matters not one whit if you cannot draw another breath. Enjoy what you have and be on your merry way. The answers to the questions of the millennia will not change one thing about your mortality. Don't expect to get any answers. I learned everything i needed to know about life in kindergarten: Row, row, row your boat, gently down the stream; merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, life is but a dream. Now, just hang on to your cosmic arse.
