We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
I do not understand why otherwise intelligent people will allow themselves to be "interviewed" by reporters whose goal it is to defame them. If someone like Scalia wanted to be interviewed or go on the record etc. then pick somene who would be likely to be honest and fair, like greta van susteren. Would a left wing reporter have questioned Ruth Bader Ginsberg about her religious beliefs? Think about what a great opportunity it is to interview a sitting Supreme Court Justice and you ask him questions about his religion intended to make him look like a religious nutjob! This is journalistic malpractice but sadly not unusual.
