More on campus assault and rape

I posted yesterday on Why complain to your college about campus crime?

Law enforcement is simply not something that schools do. It's not something they should even attempt. There's a perfect example today: USC Student: Campus Police Said I Wasn't Raped Because He Didn't Orgasm.

I guess that's wasn't what that idiot on The View would term "rape-rape."

This seemingly naive or reckless young girl (which is not to blame her) should have called the cops, and let the DA sort out the facts and the details.

Perhaps the issue is that college kids these days do not view themselves as part of the big adult world yet.

One problem, jurisdiction. City and county LEO's generally defer to the campus cops (some of whom are sworn officers) and vice versa. Or is this a reflection of the old town vs gown problem?

As the resident USC alumnus - The campus police are police... but, their main mission is to keep the campus free of the blight that is South Central LA.

Reporting a real crime that has already occurred? Call the LAPD.

The only cure for the he said/she said legal problem is that it never happens in the first place.

My wife works on a college campus. She noticed that a particular secretary has worked in several different offices over the last 2 years. She asked a couple people about her and found out that she has filed a sexual harassment complaint against a male coworker in each office she has worked in. The total is now up to five offices/five accusations.

It's becoming obvious that she is the one doing the harassing with the unfounded yet damaging complaints. It's what I would cal a "hostile work environment" for men, yet the college continues to expose their male employees to this nut.

Running conservatives off campus is just about complete. Now it's time to get rid of all the men.

I can see where campus police could have a shorter response time than city police or the county sheriff.

In some states, campus police are given full police powers by act of the legislature.

Ergo, it should be considered on a campus-by-campus basis.
