Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

A Must-Read

Our server was ill with the avian flu this morning so I couldn't post this piece by Anderson at City Journal earlier. It is titled The Plot to Crush Rush and O'Reilly, and he touches on all of the critical free speech issues which are raised by campaign finance "reform," the covert roles of Soros and The Pew Foundation, blogging, and the media. And of course that chump John McCain.

It is an extremely important and disturbing piece for anyone who believes that free political speech matters. I won't even bother quoting from it. Just Read it.

Gosh, so it's OK for Rush-baby and charming Bill to bloviate all over everyone since they are your guys. And, if freedom of expression is the high value you hold what are we to think if Bushy's desire to spy, wiretap, listen, and spy on all communication. Something doesn't seem right in your protestations since you protect your players and don't defend individuals.

yeah... what he said... ( bird dog) Though I believe I am on the same side of manny issues as you "dog" I personally have developed a bit of a 'resitence" to Oreilly. In my very humble opinion he isn't as "Fair and balanced or None spinning " as I believe he once thought himself. Don't get me wrong I am not switchoing parties !!!! just channels...
