We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Canada ends long gun registry

How rare it is for a government to shut down an entire government program, even if it doesn't work. Or especially if it doesn't work: "We didn't spend enough money on it."

I don't believe the findings. Surely at least one leftist fraudulently connected the saving of a life by the registration?

17 years of grassroots work, letters to politicians, papers...
I can't claim I did much myself - group effort by probably 50-100k commited folk. Some ended up in jail, huge legal bills, ruined lives...

This is what happens when we sit back and take the lies and crap from the left. Small things make a difference; myself and a few others at work have converted a few lefties to fair weather neocons who own firearms. Small change but little steps.

We are not done. You to the South have your work cut out for you in the next year.
Patience and tact with the statist set - small steps rather than an argument. They shut down when their core beliefs are threatened-like "police and military should be the only ones".
One at a time is how it worked in the bleak white north.

As soon as registery dies (senate passes) we've got a bit of a party planned involving cases of ammo and a lot of guns (7 million they registered - around 12-14 million that got lost!). If you 'mericans hear an invasion mid March - not to worry!
