Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Corzine's Problems Grow

Today, Zerohedge posted that MF Global has admitted to commingling funds.


Shortly afterward, they posted that MF Global laid off their entire workforce.  This is now confirmed.


Jon Corzine left a few days ago, and turned down any funds he was due, as he should.  He is no doubt positioning his defense.  Is he any worse than Madoff?  I certainly don't think he is any better.  Yet another political figure, in this case of the Left, shames himself.

Bernie Madoff is also 'of the left'. Strong Obama supporter. Made two visits to Zug after his exposure. One right before plea and adjudication, the other just before surrendering to enter prison. Both trips to have confidential meetings with Marc Rich, Clinton 'associate' and retainer of pre-Obama DOJ's Eric Holder.

And I thought I couldn't detest Madoff any more than I did. Getting mixed up with Marc Rich is just icing on the cake, isn't it?

I certainly don't claim that all conservatives are without sin, but I'm not aware of any who are such prolific thieves. Who am I missing?

Maybe they should audit the state of New Jersey. I wonder when he left there did he take any funds.
