Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

Saturday, October 29. 2011PMS-NBC Analyst: GOP Sees Herman Cain as a 'Black Man Who Knows His Place'I am not a Cain supporter. I don't know him well enough yet. However, this makes me sympathetic: MSNBC Analyst: GOP Sees Herman Cain as a 'Black Man Who Knows His Place' The notion that a black man cannot be successful or free thinking is incredibly insulting. Racist, in fact. Is every black person supposed to stay on the plantation of victimization, helplessness, and dependency just because of skin tone? Is that American? And heck, what about Obama? Oh, well he's a Leftist who deeply disapproves of America so it's OK for him to be successful. As for Cain, it seems he believes that "his place" was CEO of a major business, and that his next "place" is on PA Ave. Good for him. Meanwhile white limousine Liberals who "care about People of Color" and want them to remain needy and victimized at all cost begin to hate him for running off the plantation. The Lefties and Dems prefer cop-killer Mumia to men like Cain. It is disgusting. Related: Is Cain a Jeremiah for black Americans? A quote:
It's not just black people. The Left wants everybody on the plantation, but having some color makes them feel more holy.

The moron on MSLSD (Mark Levin's term) show the patronizing contempt that liberals hold for blacks.
I dunno.
Is it just me because I'm Canadian and looking at the US as an outsider? It's just hard to give the whole African American victimhood thing much credence now when the highest possible executive position in your country, after a free and open presidential election, is occupied by - an African American. What am I missing? What am I missing?
The concept of a black man being a political conservative is an absolute anathema to those progressives and limousine liberals who view themselves as "protectors" of African Americans and their rights. They cannot see African Americans as successful if they are self-motivated, rich and conservative. If African Americans are self-motivated, rich and liberal - that's just fine because they are still on the progressive plantation helping keep their kind in check. Sad to say, but our political hyper partisanship gives liberals and progressives license to castigate all blacks who achieve and reach for the dream without government assistance. It also gives them license to say things like "conservatives only like Cain because he's black - not because he's successful". Actually, O is only between 6-12 percent black. One source says 6.25 the other 12. He's half white and the rest Arab. Cain is 100 percent black. Unfortunately, there were far too many who believed O's lies. They didn't see through his phoniness and ineptness because they didn't want to. And, of course, the journalists helped him along and still do. Cain will not have that kind of help because he's in the wrong party.
Hmmm... so if you did not vote for Obama you are a racists , if you criticize Obama you are a racist and if you support Cain you are a racist.
Karen Finney - what a surprise. A light skinned African American hatin' on a dark skinned African American.
What we are seeing here folks is something called Colorism - or pigmentocracy. It used to be called the "brown paper bag test". Spike Lee did a movie about it - School Daze. Think about the following for a minute: Colin Powell, Julian Bond, Eric Holder, Harold Ford, Thurgood Marshall, Edward Brooke, Deval Patrick, Malcolm X, John Conyers, Emanuel Cleaver, Elijah Cummings, Jesse Jackson, Jr., Charlie Rangel, (I have to stop there, but you get the point) and President Obama. Notice anything unusual? Got it in one. That is why Cain is getting beat up by liberals - he's too black for their tastes. There - I said it. :>) The current resident of 1600 Penn Ave may legally be an American, (no, I'm not a "birther") but his attitudes and values are WAY out to the left. Look up some of his available bio info (available via the inter-tubes) concerning his mom and grandparents, who were radical socialists (if not communists). His Dad NEVER raised him, and his mom remarried and moved to muslim Indonesia, before finally allowing him to come back to Hawaii, to be raised by her parents.
Mr Cain was born in Memphis, Tennessee, and raised in Atlanta, Georgia; you can't get more American than that! The radical left HATES Mr Cain, because he's "left the plantation" of dependency, and wants to give all "Americans of Color" the same chance to succeed! I think she is exactly right. She is just overlooking the logical extension that she and other leftists see Cain as a black man who doesn't know his place.
In the words of Jeneane Garafalo: "it's racism; straight up".
Yup, paternalistic racism. Lefties can't have a successful black guy out in front. |
