Apparently we, the people, failed Obama

Harsanyi: Sorry, Guys, There Are No More Kings. Oftentimes, like Harsanyi, I cannot fathom the crap I read from the MSM.

It turns out we are the ones who failed Him. We weren't prepared for a mega-dosage of awesomeness. We were too dimwitted to grasp the decency of central planning. And the insistence of troublemakers to engage in debate and vote, in fact, is the most serious threat to this nation's future.

From the Dowd piece: "But as Drew Westen, a liberal psychology professor at Emory University wrote in The Times on Sunday, puzzling about what has happened to his former hero’s passion, the president never identifies the villains who cause our epic problems."

It seems to me that the President is FREQUENTLY identifying one villian or another. He just doesn't seem to identify the correct ones.

Many of our epic problems result from our departures from our own Constitution. Ignoring the Tenth Amendment is a case in point.

Yep, it is still Bush's fault or the Tea Party's fault, or Republican's fault or the Tsunami, Arab Spring, or the Greeks. Why if it weren't for all those things, we'd be in clover, right?

Sure, The Won tried reasonableness and explaining everything to us. That's why Obamacare was written in secret, passed by Dems only, and Nancy said they had to pass it to find out what's in it.

Throughout history any society wide experiment in central planning has failed, failed because central planning carried out on a wide basis fails to adapt to changing conditions. Even when such changes are society driven instead of being imposed by changes in circumstance such as famines and floods.

As in the case of the pitiful Maureen Dowd. What asteroid does she live on? I don't have the time or the patience to point out every error of logic and fact in her piece. It is just mind-boggling. She needs to get out in the world a little.

I stopped reading MoDo years ago, after she misrepresented what Dubya had said. Life is too short to bother with her.

I suppose for a comedy break MoDo might do now and then.

I think there's a kind of incestuousness on the Left. They listen to and read only other leftists. They subscribe to truthiness— the quality of preferring concepts or facts one wishes to be true rather than concepts or facts known to be true.

It is unnecessary to Obama that his words match what he does, as it is unnecessary for Maureen Dowd's words to match any particular reality except the reality found within her own words.
