We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Do you own a copy of the book to which you linked, Bird Dog? The reason I'm asking is because I love those sort of books and would like to order it, but some of the commenters at Amazon made me concerned. Some said the facsimile version didn't contain the original's illustrations, and state that they are very important to the book.
Long story short, if you have it, does yours have the illustrations?
FYI, if you click on the author's name link on that page at Amazon, you will find a link to a newer printing of the book, June 2010. But since one can't always tell which version of a book is being commented on, I'm not sure that one has the illustration either!
Thanks in advance! (Oh, and thanks to Jack also for the link to the free online versions. I checked the pdf one there, and it seems to be illustrated.)
