We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
I voted for him reluctantly. I am fond of saying that due to my utter distrust of politicians.
So far, the guy is batting .900. A misstep here...nothing major...regarding ratables and how they are being used to improve conservation (I pay a rate to PSE&G that is SUPPOSED to be used to help me upgrade my home's heating and insulation, and he cut it back....).
Anyway, aside from that, he's been spot on so far. Good for him BUT SO FAR IT'S LOW HANGING FRUIT. He has to start doing the tough stuff. Keep it up, Christie...you'll be in the HOF of politicians if you do.
Oh, to have the likes of Christie in Vermont. A leader who does not back down. The real deal. The Vermont Prog-Dems love to make fun of NJ. Not so funny anymore is it, hahahaha. "We wanna be like NJ", the new mantra in Vermont.
