We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Well, bearing in mind that a handful of liberal yokels on a message board aren't "the MSM", there's no question that every liberal in the MSM (but I repeat myself) has already considered how they'd fight a Palin run for one of the big slots.
The big hitch is that the only viable ruse they had -- pointing out McCain's age & health -- won't be there next time.
And it's going to be a little awkward trying to point out how she's "just being used as a prop to appeal to women voters" -- when that begs the question in return, Are you saying women shouldn't be candidates? Or that only liberal women should be candidates? That's a pretty tight logic box to squeeze out of.
And part of it falls under the heading of "Any publicity is good publicity", in the sense that if people keep seeing "Palin, Palin, Palin" everywhere they turn, it might do more good than harm, there in the privacy of the voting booth.
