We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Do follow the link to the other graphs. The monthly comparisons create a clear refutation of the terrors of global warming. The charts of the monthly variations are especially good because they are nearly finagle-proof -- they will tell the same message with any coloring of the curves and with any scaling of the axes.
Anybody who has done any curve fitting to data knows that any time you take a finite segment of data from what is essentialy an infinite data stream, the finite segment will show a trend even if the process which generates the data has no trend. even though you calculate a trend it may be spurious.
NJSoilder is right. I have a least square curve fitting program that allows you to weight each data point. It's amazing what wou can do with that many adjustable parameters.
