We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
While I am grateful to his being an obstacle to the Obamacare juggernaut. I doubt he opposes government run health care in principle, just this version. He is a dyed in the wool lib who thinks government is better at solving problems than the private sector. I wouldn't be surprised to see him flip at the 11th hour.
Whoops, Barrister....you acted to soon on Joe, this is still a moving target.....let's hope you haven't jinxed this thing.I learned early on in business to never celebrate prematurely, i.e., until the check clears the bank, such presumption greatly offends the celebratory gods, and most of all Zeus. These Reid/Pelosi whores will find a way to pass some disaster, just you wait. Let's save the kudos for Joe until after he drives a stake through the heart of this health care bill on national television.
--looks like the fall-back is going to be control-through-insurance industry. Sigh. Oh well, a rollback of ALL this crap is theoretically possible --maybe we should be gallows-glad it is such a disaster that we might finally have a chance at a return to Constitutional government.
