We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Also from WA state. There was a referendum to stop the state legislature from putting into place a marriage rights act. The Faith and Freedom group worked very hard, but of course with election fraud such that we have, there was no way the dems were going to let this through. However, what was terrifying was the homosexual community going on the local talk radio shows and demanding that the Secretary of State and make public the 138,000 names on the petition for the referendum. The gay representatives frequently spoke (threatened) that they wanted to "confront and converse" with each individual on that list. "So that if we see them in the grocery store we can engage them in friendly discussion" was how one gay leader described their need to have the names. This matter will be heard at the Supreme Court shortly.

It is important for every reader to be kept aware of this procedure as it moves through the Supreme Court--so, so much is at stake here.
It isn't as if we haven't seen these despicable tyrants coming. They have outworked us and often out-thought us, so we have no one to blame but ourselves and our weak choices for representation. We have simply received and continue to receive a good old country a** whipping. Our side is often not even in the fight.
Professor Irwin Corey used to say something like " if we continue on our present course, we're in danger of arriving where we're headed." Well?
