We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Thanks for this post. I am a retired Canadian trucker that spent more time in the USA for 30 years than I did in Canada. While driving down there I became a fan of Rush and wish we had his equivalent here in the north. I am looking forward to tomorrows segment.
I don't listen to radio, so I don't listen to Rush. I liked the opportunity to see this interview.
Rush's comment that he combines satire with serious statements is perhaps the key to what upsets the liberals so much. Ann Coulter also combines satire with serious statements. Ann also drives the liberals up the wall.
Liberals are so puffed up with a serious case of self-righteousness, doing battle against the evil right-wingers, that they get infuriated at the possibility that someone is laughing at them.
Thinking fast on his feet is an understatement. Agree on all that has been said here, and add that the fact he does not take callers to 'take the load off' a three-hour broadcast is proof of his genius. I despise some of the other talk-radio hosts who take callers and then insult them with glee. It's demeaning to the host.
By the way, Jaimie Gangall is married to Daniel Silva, the best writer of espionage. He has 12 books out, and all are about the Mossad. If you want to learn about the world's espionage web, check him out.
