First, we have to assure that in 2012 Mr. Obama is outta here. God help us --- YES. Elect a president with some management experience, some sense of American history and world history, and most of all, the ability to read our Constitution carefully enough to find out what it is constitutional for a President to do, and what is not included in his job description -- above his pay grade, as he so pithily puts it.

He can't go on merrily thinking of new dangerous ways to dabble in our economy and damage it still further, new ways to confiscate our money with sneaky new taxes, other innovative ways to interfere with our private lives to 'level the playing field' so that the lazy and the stupid can live better on our money than we, who earned it, can.

We can protect ourselves from this clueless amateur in the great game of life. But it will take work,and cooperation. We have the will. We can gain the skill. And we better start soon.

Bird Dog, my friend ... Thanks to that darn Greek, arthritis, my marching days are over. Am reduced to walking with a cane these days, when I used to carry the flag out front. And my white horse is out to pasture. But any marchers for freedom who would like coffee and counseling [or something stronger] will be more than welcome in my house. And my pen and editing skills are at your service, and the service of any folks who need them, free of charge.

I am still in awe of those 'middle Americans' 1.7 million of them, who traveled on their own dimes to Washington on September 12 to demonstrate peacefully against the healthcare bill, and left the town tidier than it was when they got there.

We don't know our own strength. Yet.

Oh, and Bird Dog ... I didn't vote for those taxes and Mr. Ego. I voted for Sarah the Valiant and that old Naval hero she ran with.
