We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
People see this as madness. And they actually get the gist of it. They know it’s a new tax and they are asking: ‘How does putting another new tax on me change the temperature of the globe?’
cas ... Plimer has had an impressive effect on the climate warming debate. We, my husband and I, have been following this climate argument for more than ten years. [My husband is a polar bear expert, with several polar bear books to his credit.] When Fred Singer was putting out a weekly newsletter we subscribed and read it faithfully. Next to the present con-gamers, the global warming con was the biggest con in the 20th century, we think.

P.S. The polar bears are doing just fine, thank you, in case you wonder. They want us to leave them alone.
