We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
For years when I was a child my parents took me to watch The Patriots Day Parade. We would all walk to the end of my street, and view the parade on Mass. Ave. Then we would go to Lewington and watch the reenactment at Lexington Green.
I never realized in my wildest dreams that I would grow up to be a right wing extremist. I blame my parents for all those parades they took me to, plus they hit me a lot.
I have lots of issues, that's why I fit in so well with other right wing extremists.
I spent Sunday morning with my fellow Knights cooking breakfast at the monthly Knights of Columbus Breakfast. I am one of the youngest in the Council. They are all Veterans, they all have guns, fly flags in their yards, and go to Mass each Sunday. It's a miracle the place didn't blow up on principle alone!
