Maggie's Farm

The teacher's union in MT closed down all the small rural schools they could during the 1990's. The guy who did that is now president of U of Washington. He also engineered the take over of four smaller college campus and forced them under the protection of the two larger campuses (no independent administration made it easier control their curriculum and their jobs). Just a few days ago MT State just unionized completely including faculty--yeah all those wonderful jobs (highest paid in the state) going to all the those daughters of the powerful union bosses. You know the ones: the gals that lied their way through school, for whom all teachers laid down, so that they could graduate and daddy (mommy?) would get them a job in beautiful, lovely MONTANA. What about the local kids who grew up there--went away to real schools and excelled on their own efforts--well they can have the jobs in places like Lubbock, or MS. Interesting isn't it--how the union bosses always end up giving the jobs to their own? I have come to the conclusion that the prettier the locale the least qualified and least competent are the educators.
