Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Reminder

No time to write today, but I just wanted to post a little reminder that, in every recession in my lifetime, the Left screams "Failure of Capitalism!" and does its best to exploit the opportunity for government power grabs.


It's not about economics - it's all about power and control.

Barrister: Does it happen frequently that the judge's attorney looses the only copy of the findings and the decree before hearing and because the "cleaning lady lost them"? How often do "cleaning ladies" loose case documents --is this a frequent occurrence?

Excuse me--I meant to say judge's "secretary". She did however pass the bar exam last year--but this year she is working as his very lovely assistant in a small town Superior Court--

I've never seen a free-market in my career. Capitalism must have failed long ago.
