We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Exactly. Obama's in a position to pretty much say anything he likes. Short of calling for outright revolution. His MSM 'protectors' will ensure that the great middle never hear a word about it. It's a damn shame. Too bad the MSM long ago forgot the meaning of that word.
No worries. Forty years from now, when America is freezing in the dark and all the American mining engineering schools have closed their doors, some nice Chinese company will mine the coal for us - and sell us the electricity, too.
No economy has ever grown without an abundance of competitively priced energy. Why are the Chinese going around the globe striking energy deals?
Obama is so devoid of economic understanding that he neither gets this nor does he get the national security element.
The economically ignorant and people who are afraid to face the world based upon their own abilities (i.e. do not want personal responsibility) are among those voting for Obama. Remember the post of the black woman waxing over Obama and claiming now she will not have to worry about her mortgage of gas for her car?
I will be excercising my Second Amendment rights with a purchase after I vote tomorrow.
Has anyone had the pleasure to see Lawrence Eagleburger on Fox News - now for the third time? You want to laugh because he takes no prisoners (and I'm sure that's why they have had him on three times in three days) but what he says is scary. First off he stately flatly that Obama was a charlatan and then today called him the biggest con man in American politics. Today he said that Obama would make it so that every country that wanted a nuke would have it. When they asked him about Obama's economic plan, he said, "What economic plan? The one that will make us a third world country?" His revulsion for Obama and the morons who will vote for him was palpable.
You forgot Pennsylvania -- and fortunately for us all, one of the most reliably conservative papers in the nation is the Pittsburgh Trib-Review, and they are one of the few papers covering this. Or should I say trumpeting it.
