We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Eleanor Clift is just bearing testimony to the extreme left-wing bias of the media. Their laughter is not an issue of judgement, but rather evidence of their willingness to trample their own values for the sake of political expediency. Thank God for the new media.
She is a gem. And she's breaking ground for women... How can a woman on the left mock that accomplishment without mocking the very stuff of their own politics. I tell you it really seems to be self-destructive.
Clift thinks she's special and really, really super-duper smart because she is a journalist, a special group of people anointed to translate reality into the little words that non-super-duper-smart people can understand. Apparently you aren't self-aware enough to understand your own ignorance and realize that only a handful of super-duper smart people from major urban areas really understand the world as it is. ;)
Eleanor Clift knows that she and her people are not in danger. She doesn't associate with Navy Seals and neither does anyone in her newsroom. They don't consider themselves at war because they aren't. Their tribe is 19% of America combined with 38% of Europe. If she were in some actual danger, she would be grateful to have Sarah Palin nearby, don't you think?

Only son is on his way to Special Forces assessment in two weeks. His response to Sarah Palin securing John McCain as his CIC in '09 was: "Hell yeah, new weapons!". Sarah rocks, and McCain can use the chair, the big one.
