Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Paul Pelosi. Gov Hochul also said about the crime wave "I don't know why that's so important to you,". Nancy Pelosi hasn't responded yet she is still drunk. People of color most affected.
What a great laugh I had yesterday. Schadenfreude! The lefties on Twitter to Elon Musk: We demand that you not hold our political views against us. Hahaha. Hypocrites. To bad lefties are incapable of learning the lesson that is before them.
Maniac: Democrat chickens coming home to roost.
San Francisco is not even in the top 20 U.S. cities for rate of violent crime. Indianapolis and Little Rock both have higher violent crime rates, for instance. San Francisco's violent crime rate has declined since 2014. That is not to minimize violent crime, which affects real people. But ascribing the problem to "Democrat chickens" is misplaced. Geomagnetic fields reveal the truth behind Biblical narratives
https://phys.org/news/2022-10-geomagnetic-fields-reveal-truth-biblical.html Disappointing to see the UK take this turn. The populist move generated enough energy to drive Brexit, but Boris's spineless lack of direction was entropic. I almost think of the completely-inept Truss followed by Sunak as a kind of one-two punch for the establishment re-establishing control of the structures of power, and moving them further from the reach of the populace.
I wouldn't be surprised to see noises about re-joining the EU start to assert themselves in a few months. I think William's and Dalrymple's thoughts are the most cogent here. If You Liked Big Brother, Meet Google's Big MUM
Forget Big Brother, Big MUM is Google's new tool for suppressing conservatives... https://www.zerohedge.com/technology/if-you-liked-big-brother-meet-googles-big-mum The only question is whether it was Ukrainian or Chinese mobsters reminding the Pelosis they had a deal.
Aggie: I wouldn't be surprised to see noises about re-joining the EU start to assert themselves in a few months.
A sizeable number of Brits now support reversing Brexit. Brexit has been a debacle, but the British public seems too exhausted to seriously move towards rejoining the EU in the near term. More likely, Britain will attempt to move closer to the EU without actually rejoining. feeblemind: If You Liked Big Brother, Meet Google's Big MUM
In and of itself, media have the right to regulate their content. The problem is because of the shear size of some media corporations. Republicans have spent generations undermining antitrust regulation. The Democrats have been pushing for new antitrust laws which could lead to the breakup of the largest digital media companies, or at least, the segregation of their components. Republicans have attempted to water down the proposals, but it seems at least some Republicans have finally seen the light on the danger of too much market concentration. https://www.politico.com/news/2021/06/15/big-tech-house-antitrust-changes-494506 But that's a Nothing-Burger. A sizeable number of Brits didn't want Brexit in the first place, and made use of their media-megaphone advantage to make is seem as if it were a majority. Didn't work, though, because it lacked majority. What I'm talking about is an about-face by the conservative establishment party. We'll see.
Aggie: A sizeable number of Brits didn't want Brexit in the first place, and made use of their media-megaphone advantage to make is seem as if it were a majority.
Most everyone knew the vote would be close, but a majority did vote for Brexit. Brexiteers convinced voters that it would be economically beneficial, even though that was always a questionable claim. In fact, Brexit has had serious deleterious effects on the British economy. "Brexit has been a debacle"
And the EU isn't ?!? The real problem with Brexit is that ongoing attempts by the globalists to sabotage it. Which is of course reason enough to keep it. Whatever the globalists want should be resisted. England must suffer now. There citizens made foolish decisions, elected false leaders who promised much and delivered little. Now they must endure what they have wrought and if they cannot get past their divisions and save themselves then they will simply become an Asian/Indian outpost with African criminals. Long live the Queen... OneGuy: And the EU isn't
While the EU certainly has its issues, it has also been an economic boon to its members. OneGuy: The real problem with Brexit is that ongoing attempts by the globalists to sabotage it. The real problem with Brexit is Brexit. Brits didn't want to abide by EU rules for trade, and they didn't want all those immigrants bespoiling the British character. So Brexit. The problem is that, if British businesses want to trade with France or Germany or any other country in the EU, they still have to abide by EU rules for trade. The difference is that they have a lot of paperwork and required inspections. Deliveries cost more and take longer, so they are at a competitive disadvantage. To top it off, they no longer have a say in devising EU rules they still have to meet. The worst of both worlds! With regards to immigration, Britain now has shortages of workers in crucial industries, including construction and agriculture. Polish workers are going to Germany, or even returning to Poland which is growing economically as part of the EU. Plus, if a Brit wants to travel or work in France or Germany or other countries in the EU, they are treated like, gulp, foreigners. Sacré bleu! "But ascribing the problem to "Democrat chickens" is misplaced."
But if not "Democrat chickens" what else could it be? What seems to be the common denominator in all these crimes in Subways and WaWa's and Jewelry stores? When I watch the videos I am sure there is something, one single thing that is the same in all of them. The beatings, the knifings, the smash and grabs, all of them seem to be done by the same people. What is that common denominator in Democrat big cities and soon to become Democrat big cities... Then there's the Irish problem. When Ireland was divided, it led to sectarian strife in Northern Ireland, which remained part of the UK. The British used a system of checkpoints to try and maintain security. The Clinton administration brokered a peace deal that required the removal of the checkpoints. As the Republic of Ireland and the UK were in the EU, that meant free movement of people and goods across the border between the Republic and Northern Ireland. The deal ended sectarian violence and led to political reconciliation.
Now, with Brexit, the Republic of Ireland is in the EU, but Northern Ireland is not. That puts checkpoints back on the Irish border. To solve this problem, Britain agreed to put the customs border between the island of Ireland and the island of Great Britain. This eliminated the border between the Republic and Northern Ireland, but creates a border between Northern Ireland and Great Britain — even though they are part of the same state! This, of course, has upset Protestants in Northern Ireland, creating a serious threat of the complete breakdown in political stability. Brexiteers ignored or minimized this problem leading up to the vote on Brexit. " it has also been an economic boon to its members."
It has been an economic boon to the elite globalists but a disaster for the working class. Germany has had to shut most of it's businesses and the people are wondering how to heat their homes this winter if they can even find food to survive. "they didn't want all those immigrants bespoiling the British character" You mean like in Malmo Sweden where most adult women have been raped by the bespoiling immigrants? Or maybe like in Italy where those bespoiling immigrants still rape you but murder you as well to end your suffering. Ahhh! Isn't diversity awesome??? "Britain now has shortages of workers in crucial industries" That is a good thing. 100% employment. Why screw it up by importing rapist and terrorists??? That is nothing but a made up excuse to encourage immigration of people who don't even register on the IQ scale. Sacré rouge, blanc and bleu! "if a Brit wants to travel or work in France or Germany or other countries in the EU, they are treated like, gulp, foreigners." THAT is a good thing. They traded a despotic unelected government for borders. THAT is exactly what we should do in this election and in 2024. OneGuy: But if not "Democrat chickens" what else could it be?
Are you referring to the drop in violent crime in San Francisco since 2014, or that San Francisco has a lower violent crime rate than Indianapolis? The SF don't mind if I do stop by unannounced and unwelcome comrade just dropped in for some undocumented ice cream reparations.
He won't be getting off with a wrist slap like Paul Pelosi as some are a little more equal. I always laugh at "dissidents" on E is for Evil Google. All your blogs are belong to us. I'm sure we can presume that the San Francisco PD has reported the last two years of crime statistics extremely accurately (end sarcasm).
So I live in a travel trailer and move around when I feel like it. I am in Phoenix and when the first day that the ballot drop off box watchers started the local station accused then of being intimidating and it being illegal. In fact the pictures they showed were a mix of men and women not wearing masks or guns and not talking to anyone and sitting so far back that you had to look for them. Within two days the news had triggered the left to put out some false flags and had masked and armed people show up. There were still the same unmasked and normal people but the dems needed something to distract from the shitshow they have created. Don't be fooled ! This is Democrat dirty tricks. Watch for it to end in violence.
young males are having trouble in 'education' because they are being asked to parrot left wing horse shit which is obviously false even to an adolescent.
And adolescent males are not willing to do it. Good on them and FU to the teachers. OneGuy: a disaster for the working class.
German workers have done quite well in the EU. It's the weaker economies that have benefited least. Britain has showed the folly of exiting the EU. See problems with trade noted above. OneGuy: Germany has had to shut most of it's businesses Huh? Other than during the pandemic, Germany has experienced robust economic growth for decades. OneGuy: the people are wondering how to heat their homes this winter There is a war on, but natural gas storage is near 100%. Meanwhile, France is sending natural gas to their EU partner, Germany. OneGuy: You mean like in Malmo Sweden where most adult women have been raped by the bespoiling immigrants? "Most"? Exaggeration doesn't substitute for facts. Violent crime in Sweden is significantly lower than in the US, for instance. OneGuy: That is a good thing. 100% employment. UK industry can't find enough workers, and crops are being left in the field. OneGuy: THAT is a good thing. Not if you like to vacation in Europe or do business there. People seriously thought with Brexit they would be able to travel and work freely in Europe—while still keeping those pesky Poles out. |
