We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
4th: listening to music from expensive, fragile vinyl approved by giant corporations vs. streaming almost anything from diverse independent musicians.
5th: laboriously handwriting documents (this is wrong by the way, the typewriter is older than fifteen years—who wrote this strip, Klein?) no one will read vs making your own videos and music and multimedia documents uploaded to the world wide web.
6th: well, maybe.
I’ll take today.
The most curious is panel 5, which seems to think working on stuff is writing. Most of the work I do nowadays is physical labor. Computers make that easier, too, by allowing powerful, computer-controlled machines to perform work more safely.
