We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
My pic is Fairfield, CT's Greenfield Hill Congregational Church. Timothy Dwight was once pastor there. This back country congregation was gathered in 1725. History of the church here. Always must remember that a church is the people, not the building.
A 2010 survey by the American Association of Colleges and Universities found that of 24,000 college students, only 35.6% strongly agreed that "it is safe to hold unpopular views on campus." When the question was asked of 9,000 campus professionals—who are more familiar with the enforcement end of the censorship rules—only 18.8% strongly agreed.
The Democratic Party is defined by the broken family in the same way that the Republican Party is defined by the family. It is a refuge for minority groups where fatherlessness leads to single mothers and government dependency and for white middle-class Julia types who use government dependency as a substitute for parental dependency.
Take away the family and millions of seniors have no recourse for their needs and even their survival, but to turn to the government.
Why can't/won't the media elite understand the middle east? Because they have been taught to believe false first principles. And if they did understand, it would be politically incorrect to express those views in "polite" company.
Without resorting to goggling, I'd guess that its not the same guy but the same viewpoint, or dogma.
Rejection of the Catholic ornate style and decoration, distaste for the Church of England vestments and decoration.
The practical need for a meeting house along with a church, built and funded by farming communities.
With clean firing lines and windows just to high to enter from the ground when attacked by Indians.
It will require a Repbulican administration, but a single executive order, directing that degrees granted by institutions with a speech code be disregarded for all federal hiring and promotion decisions, would at least shift students out of these schools.
And of course Congress should make schools with speech codes ineligible for federal student loans.
