We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Obama came to Boston in March to rub elbows with wealthy businessmen -- whose businesses have benefitted from his policies. For the pleasure of face time with the President, these businessmen contributed to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, anywhere from a few hundred dollars to more than $30,000.
Why do we keep passing this off as something France does? We lived through a time when elected officials of our government claimed everyone lied, cheated and abused women and a majority of the american public supported this behavior and rhetoric. We are in no position to cast a stone at the attitude of France towards a serial abuser of women.
It get's even better: the folks in WA state seem to delight in their ability to deceive the public openly. That is to say they pass what appears to be a harmless bill to motivate teenagers, in reality it is a free tuition pass for "chosen" illegal Mexicans. Can you imagine how many white kids will get through on this giveaway? Or better yet--which white kids will get through? Read it and weep:
