We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
I heard him on the Dennis and Callahan show on WEEI a couple of weeks back - he seems like a down home kind of guy. He seems very much on top of the issues both local and national and appears to have a healthy sense of self without the importance attached.
Let's hope the national party apparatus gets involved - this could be a stunning pickup at best and a leading indicator of the country's mood if he comes in a very close second. He's the anti-Romney in that while he's good looking guy with smarts he won't vary his opinions on issues according to polls. If he doesn't make the Senate, almost certain he will be Governor.
Your smart for not going back. It's sad to see what's happened to my/our home state. I got out 25 years ago. New Hampshire was great when I first moved up. Now it's just an extension of Mass.
Like I said the other day If Scott losses by 10 points or less, he wins. In Mass. the dead vote! He is a good man, blessed with beautiful girls. Ayla can sing like there's no tomorrow. She should have won American Idol.
