Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

When the McCain campaign ran an ad that had a white woman in it, it was denounced as racist. When it ran an ad that had an African-American man (Franklin Raines) in it, it was denounced as racist. Now the McCain campaign links Obama to a white man, the former terrorist, and still anti-American, Bill Ayers. That's racist too. I think we've exhausted just about all the possibilities. The only non-racist thing McCain can do, apparently, is concede the election.

the Ayers story in the NYT was a free political endorsement for Obama. Ayers lives three blocks away and they serve on boards together and Ayers and his wife threw a party for Obama to launch is state senatorial campaign but they are still one step away from being strangers and they even quoted Tom Hayden saying as much. HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAA This election os one big , fat joke and no matter what the Republicans do it won't matter people are tired of Republicans, economy in crisis and they see a tall good lucking young guy and they will vote for him since they still feel Gore was robbed. UGH!

These are the people who took over our universities, MSM, local schools, and government civil service. They are beginning to enjoy the pay-off. The radicals of the 1960s not only infiltrated all of the institutions; they're bleeding the beast and we are paying for it. What a deal!

Where is the 527 "Citizens Against Voter Fraud"???? These guys need to be on the air in all swing states plus contingency plans to oppose voter fraud at the polls and in the courts. Republicans must have some fat cats who will pony up the tens of millions it will take to stop the Barbarians at the gates? If this guy wins it will be the first openly illegitimate Presidency in the country's history. Welcome to Third World America. What's next? The ol' coup d'etat led by the military junta?

Look for team Obama to hand out free cigarettes, and possibly free booz for comatose democrats to vote Nov 4th. It will make Gore and Kerry's attempt look amateurish. I'm such a racist. Give them cigs to get'em in the busses, then liquor them all up after they pull the lever. Can't do it the other way around , because they will pull the McCain lever. They are so umday dontcha know.

I have faith. Who stands to lose the most if Obama wins? The Fat Cats, first off. Considering the ADHD news cycles, the 527s will go into action the last two weeks so people will not forget what happened an hour ago and will carry those final images into the booth.

Maybe McCain should show up for Tuesday night's debate in black face. ha ha..... Take that, you smooth-talkin' darkie!

Hold on to that faith, Meta. I have it too. The Democrats own this market crisis. Democrat President Jimmy Carter signed the Community Reinvestment Act, which ordered banks to stop those nasty credit investigations of possible mortagees and just loan those nice people money so they could buy nice $250,000 houses even though they only made $25,000 a year. And President Clinton enlarged the scope of the Community Reinvestment Act in his administration. We have a Democrat-controlled Congress and have since 2006. If the "chickens are coming hone to roost," as Obama's pastor puts it, they belong in the Democratic henhouse.

american carol was good. i was disappointed that the theater was only about half full on its opening night here in nashville, though. the film had a great little musical number making fun of the ridonkulosity of professors which is not to be missed.

Sorry, I must comment of the debate last week. Correct me if I am wrong but Obama said the "18 million for earmarks is not very large amount of money....". Please get me a calulator. 18 bill divided by 300 million people!!! Drop the earmarks and give me that help pay my health insurance bill.
