Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

30 years of "climate change" erased. I guess we should be glad, but I'd like it a bit warmer. Only Obama has the power to fix this solar system cooling mess:

Has anyone heard from Buddy Larson lately? I haven't seen him posting at any of his usual places. He lives in Texas, not sure if he was affected by Ike or not.

And now the lefty "press" (of all people!) are saying "Not so fast"--there were two agreements and two meetings.

Biden sure has lost this Catholic's vote. His brother once tried to murder me.

I am from Switzerland, went to grad school at GW.

After graduation, I had friends who lived in the Friendship Heights area of DC. Bunch of recent graduates sharing a house, they held many a good party at that house, and had a hot tub out back.

These parties may be overrated in my memory, but they were certainly loud and obnoxious, it must be said.

Frank Biden was the "next-door" neighbour there, and none too shy about mentioning his brother. Bit of a bell-end.

During one party, rather than make a noise complaint, he ran onto the deck of the house in question, and threw the radio into the hot tub. Fortunately for us, the distance was about eight feet on a six feet power cord. He was treated rather roughly at that time.

So, don't like the guy, or his brother.
